He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 10th round of the 2002 MLB Draft. He finished his career tied for Kutztown's all-time wins record with 28. Woolard was a member of two KU teams that advanced to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championships (2001, 2002) and was credited with Kutztown's win at the 2002 Championships against Florida Southern. He was a two-time All-PSAC pick and was twice named All-North Atlantic Region and All-ECAC. Upon leaving Kutztown, he pitched in the minor leagues until 2005, at which time he joined the military and served three tours in Afghanistan. Woolard is currently enrolled in the Police Academy.
