Kutztown University Athletics

Kovich of Silver Spring, Md., was a two-way tackle for Cass Township High in Schuylkill County. A defensive standout at 6-2, 220, Kovich started three years. After college, Kovich and DeMatteo played with the Long Island Indians, a farm team for the Detroit Lions. Kovich served 20 years with the U.S. Marine Corps and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He is presently an IBM systems analysis.
