Gary Mohylski ’71 was an outstanding track performer. Mohylski, who competed for just three years due to the then national rule eliminating freshmen from Varsity competition, was the PSAC slate champion for three consecutive years (1969, ‘70 & ‘71) in the 440 yard dash. Mohylski was part of the two first place relay teams (440 and mile) in the 1970 meet. When he graduated Mohylski was part of seven school record holding relay teams. Mohylski was anchor leg on the school’s only prestigious Penn Relay victory in the mile relay. In 1970 Mohylski finished sixth at the NCAA Division I Eastern Regional in the 440. This came when there was no national championship on the small college level.
