Burock, a graduate of Gilberton High, was a two-way end at Kutztown. He started as a sophomore and junior, then missed half of his senior season with a knee injury. He was an assistant football coach at Gilberton High for several years. Burock recently retired as superintendent of the St. Clair School District. He received the 1985 outstanding alumni award from the Mahonoy Area School District, and was honored by the Schuylkill County Athletic Association and the Chief School Administrators of the Intermediate Unit 29 for years of service to schools in Schuylkill County.
