Denise Long ’84 was perhaps on the finest woman athletes in the 1980’s at Kutztown. Long was a four-year starter in field hockey, lacrosse and basketball earning first team PC honors twice in lacrosse (1983 and 1984) and once in field hockey (1983). Long finished as the third leading scorer in KU history as a field hockey performer. A standout goalie in lacrosse, Long’s plays helped the Bears to the 1982 NCAA Division III national playoffs.
