Peoples is Kutztown’s all-time leading rusher (3,156 yards). He was a two-time all-PSAC East first team selection. He had a school record 752 carries and finished his career with 19 touchdowns and 134 receptions for 979 yards. Peoples had a senior season to remember in 1996 as he set the school single season rushing record with 1,393 yards on 306 carries. He led the team in scoring with eight touchdowns and was second in receiving with 38 receptions for 208 yards. Peoples became the first KU running back to rush for 100 or more yards in every game during a single season in 1996. During his junior season in 1995, Peoples led the Golden Bears in rushing and all-purpose yards, while finishing second in receiving and scoring. Peoples earned PSAC East and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Player of the Week honors after a 31-carry, 202-yard and three touchdown effort against California, Pa. in 1995. Peoples has a bachelor’s of science degree in elementary education and master’s degree in special education from Arcadia University. His unrelenting passion for the sport has led him to coach high school football, presently at Cheltenham High School. He is currently working as a behavioral therapist consultant and a mentor for underprivileged youth in Philadelphia and the surrounding area, while continuously being a dedicated and exceptional husband and father.
