Mease, of 60 Mill Hill Road, Quakertown, was a member of the 1970 Quakertown Panthers, co-champions of the Bucks-Mont High School League. Cliff was named to the league’s defensive first team as a linebacker. In college as a junior, Mease was named to the first team of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association All-star squad. As a senior and tri-captain, Mease was named to the second All-Pennsylvania College Team, being named to the honorable mentioned unit as a junior. After graduation from Kutztown State, Mease taught junior high in the Wallington School system in northern New Jersey. He was also line coach for the senior high varsity football team and head coach for the junior varsity basketball team. In 1976, he taught junior high science at Milford Junior High School. He became assistant coach for the ninth grade team, scouting for the senior high varsity football team. At the same time, he became an assistant coach for junior high wrestling and eighth grade baseball. “That year was special because it involved coaching my twin brothers, Doug and Don, in football and wrestling,” Mease said. In 1977, Mease decided to change his vocation. He joined his father in the auto body business. He is married to Julie (Frederick), formerly of Hamburg. They have three children, Bradley, Sheri, and Craig. In 1985, he purchased his father’s business, Cliff’s Auto Body, which he presently operates.
