Bob Hillegas

Hillegas was a three-year letterman in football, basketball and baseball at Boyertown High. As a senior in 1964, he was named to the All-Berks team after helping the Bears win the Ches-Mont League Title. After playing defensive back, quarterback and running back at Kutztown, Hillegas began his coaching career with the Kutztown freshmen team. He was an assistant coach in 1968-71 at Chester High for Kutztown Hall of Famer Bill Wiggins, now the hall chairman; an assistant in 1971-73 at Reading High; defensive coordinator in 1973-81 at Boyertown High; and an assistant in 1982-83 at Albright College. Hillegas is a geography teacher and social studies department leader at Boyertown Junior High East.
