Lange was a 1992 All-American and a five-time PSAC champion for the KU men's track & field team, four as an individual and one as part of a relay. At the 1994 PSAC Outdoor Championships, Lange won three titles to earn the Most Valuable Track Athlete award and lead KU to a runner-up finish.
He was the second-leg of the winning 1600m relay team and won the 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles. It marked his second career titles in each of the individual events as he also won the 110m hurdles in 1991 and the 400m hurdles in 1992.
He qualified for the NCAA National Championships in the 400m hurdles in 1992 and earned All-America honors with a top-eight finish. Including two career third-place finishes, Lange was a seven-time All-PSAC honoree.
Lange graduated as the school-record holder in the 55m hurdles at 7.68 seconds, and in the top-three in the 110m hurdles at 14.79 and the 400m hurdles at 52.13. Lange was voted the 1994 KU co-Male Senior Athlete of the Year.
He most recently worked in sales with Office Depot's national account. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children – a son and a daughter.
