MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's swimming completed the PSAC Championships Sunday highlighted by senior
Lauren Galetto's (Vineland, N.J./Sacred Heart) fourth place finish in the finals of the 200 yard butterfly, breaking her own top record on KU's all-time performance list for the event.
Galetto set the previous record in the event for KU in 2011 with a mark of 2:06.32. Sunday, Galetto finished the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.71 to set the new school record, and take fourth place in the event at the PSAC Championships.
Sophomore
Jessica Bleiler (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) also competed in the 200 yard butterfly, taking 15th in the consolation of the event with a mark of 2:17.63.
Junior
Elizabeth Metz (Rosemont, Pa./Radnor) completed the 1,650 yard freestyle in 12th place with a time of 17:49.25.
Senior
Jess Mape (Camp Hill, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) made it to the consolation of the 200 yard breaststroke, completing the event in 10th place with a time of 2:25.32.
The Golden Bear team comprised of sophomore
Caitlin Davies (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata), Metz, Galetto, and Bleiler saw a 12th place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a mark of 3:41.20.
