KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's track and field team captured top slots and broke KU records at the Susquehanna Orange & Maroon Invitational held on Friday.
RESULTS
Occupying the top three slots in the 20-pound weight throw, junior
Rosealine Farrell (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) (48-08.25), senior
April Doyle (Greenfield Twp., PA/Lakeland) (45-05), and sophomore
Nicole Wildermuth (Oak Ridge, NJ/Jefferson Township) (45-00.25) took first, second, and third place in the event. Farrell's toss earned her the ninth farthest distance in Kutztown history in the event.
Jessica Ranck (41-08) and sophomore
Joan Wagner (Titusville, NJ/Hopewell Valley) (39-02.5) also secured spots in the top 10 of the event, coming in at fourth and seventh.
In shot put, Doyle had a toss of 43-09.25 to take first place in the event. Senior
Maria Hoover (Fivepointville, PA/Garden Spot) had a toss of 32-06.5 for sixth place and Wildermuth (31-08) and Wagner (31-08) tied to round out the top ten.
The Golden Bears compete again when they travel to the Ursinus Multi Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
